relie 2 grands lieux de p\u00e8lerinage: le sanctuaire de l&rsquo;Archange et le tombeau de Saint Martin.<\/p><p>En Mayenne, le premier passage d\u2019un p\u00e8lerin sur la\u00a0 \u201cVia Sancti Michaelis\u201d (route ou chemin de Saint Michel) est notifi\u00e9 en 867.<\/p><p>Au Moyen-Age, le chemin comptait 13 villes \u00e9tapes : Saint-Pierre-sur-Orthe, Saint-Martin-de-Conn\u00e9e, Iz\u00e9, Bais, Grazay, Aron, Mayenne, Parign\u00e9-sur-Braye, Ch\u00e2tillion-sur-Colmont, Colombiers-du-Plessis, Levar\u00e9, La Dor\u00e9e et Landivy. Des lieux d&rsquo;h\u00e9bergement (\u00ab\u00a0l&rsquo;Hotellerie\u00a0\u00bb pr\u00e8s de Bais ou Landivy, Quittay, L&rsquo;Abbayette, Pont-au-Bray&#8230;) compl\u00e9taient l&rsquo;accueil.<\/p><p>L\u2019expression \u201cGrand Chemin Montais\u201d, rencontr\u00e9e pour la premi\u00e8re fois en 1526, s\u2019applique au chemin traversant la Mayenne de Saint Pierre sur
